BIJOUX
Because you're precious.
Welcome to Bijoux, Belgravia's sophisticated yet discreet medi-spa for those seeking high-end doctor-led cosmetic and rejuvenating treatment for face and body.
Bijoux is the brain-child of Dr Elisabeth Dancey and has taken several years from locating the site to its opening in May this year.
Why Bijoux? Bijoux, is French for “Jewels” and the name reminds us that we are all special, precious, and unique. A jewel starts from a lump of rock, sometimes its beauty is evident, sometimes not, but with the right treatment it can shine; and be turned into something of awe, beauty and something to be proud of. We too have the capacity to show our inner beauty. Sometimes we just need the right artist, the person with the right eye and the right training to bring out the best in us. Welcome to Bijoux, the home of artists
in the field of cosmetic medicine and beauty.
DR ELISABETH DANCEY
Dr Elisabeth Dancey was one of the early practitioners of cosmetic medicine (well before botulinum toxin) having trained and practised
in the UK and Belgium. She has been at the forefront of cosmetic medicine having introduced mesotherapy to the UK in 1992 and electroridopuncture in 1995. She has worked on several commercial projects associated with her early work on cellulite. She oversaw the consumer trial of Roc's anti-cellulite cream and later assisted Vibrant Medical with their pilot study and then launch of the Vibrotone cellulite reductions system. She wrote the book, "The Cellulite Solution" and later the video, "Beautiful Legs".
She also featured in the original series of "Ten Years Younger"
and has had various other exposures on television for her work
on facial rejuvenation. She regularly receives unsolicited press coverage.
Dr Elisabeth and her friend (and ex-colleague), Paulina Pyka, opened the Face and Body Instutite in Krakow, Poland in March 2007, based on the same principles as her London Clinic.
2007 and 2008 were busy years for Elisabeth and Paulina, setting up the practice, organising builders and designers, recruiting and training doctors and staff and creating awareness in the Polish media.
A real first for Poland, it is continuing to expand. There is
a regular traffic of knowledge from one side of Europe to the other. You may meet some of the Polish staff at Bijoux; we ensure that all staff are trained to London standards.
